But yea the OSC overclock feature the manual talks about was not available until I did the firmware update! After the update I tested it, does indeed work at 4K UHD 160HZ HDR on my RTX 2060 SUPER. Even the driver download does indeed spec it up to 160hz. And the manual there specifies it has an overclock feature that brings it up to 160hz! (Lists 144hz everywhere else). Interestingly the OSC included a firmware update for my monitor (which took forever). OnScreen Control - version v4.57Īside from the driver, all of these seem to have installers programmed for windows 95, so they ask you to reboot even if they worked perfectly, I didn't restart and they worked fine. It has the OSC and driver, but not the UltraGear backlight utility (so thx for that link, ill compile them all here)Īnyways yea the software is all generic and will work with any LG UltraGear Monitor (or probably any modern one at all for the OSC) Though even the canadian site is incomplete for my monitor - LG 27GN950 (-B), but that just means black and there is no other colors. Anyways as a habit i always search the US sites first for drivers/software, since most manufacturers treat there canadian site as a 2nd rate one and update less often, if at all (less customers and all, I get it)īut ya lol in this case, the US site sucks - blank or broken links and the canadian site is very up to date (new version just 5 days ago) and works fine. I'm canadian, but I bought the US version because yea everything sold out everywhere (and us ver a bit cheaper even factoring in the 60 bucks i paid for shipping).
